Carmela Iaria is VP & Executive Director of School & Library Marketing. Carmela has always appreciated the work of our educators. Her first language was Italian, and she actually didn’t learn English until kindergarten. Thank you, Ms. Porshen! During the breaks in her busy schedule, Carmela loves reading contemporary, realistic fiction.
Venessa Carson is Director of School & Library Marketing. A huge bookworm, Venessa loves to pick up psychological thrillers that’ll raise the hair on your neck. Yet, books aren’t her only interest. Venessa is also a proud co-owner of a food truck, Silver Spork!
Trevor Ingerson is Associate Director of School & Library Marketing. If you miss listening to late 80s and 90s music on vinyl, make sure to check out Trevor’s record collection! Trevor believes that middle grade is the best writing of all publishing (adult, YA, you name it!)—and if it’s contemporary or historical, he’s in!
Gaby Paez is Associate Manager of School & Library Marketing. Gaby was a clumsy kid who loved a good picture book and sunny days…and not much has changed! If she isn’t obsessing over a romcom or mockumentary, she is probably drinking a Dr. Pepper and playing a cozy game on her switch.
Summer Ogata is the Assistant Director of School & Library Marketing team. She grew up in Hawaii and danced Hula competitively for 10 years. Although Summer doesn’t dance Hula anymore, she does read lots and lots of books! She loves historical fiction, picture books where you learn something, unreliable narrators, or anything and everything regarding time-travel.
Danielle Presley is a Marketing Associate on the School & Library team. Danielle reads a wide variety of books, but her absolute favorite genre is sci-fi/fantasy and she enjoys comics and graphic novels too! Outside of Penguin, Danielle is a brown belt in karate and she even boxed for four years.
Judith Huerta is a Marketing Associate on the School & Library team. A true romantic, Judith loves anything with a romance plot line especially if it’s a YA book! When her head isn’t in the clouds, she can be found weightlifting or running while listening to music loudly.
Andrea Cruise is an Author Appearance Coordinator for the Penguin Young Readers Group. With a master’s degree in library science, Andrea not only works with librarians but is also a part-time children’s librarian herself! If you’re looking for an amazing historical fiction book, you’ll definitely want to hear her recommendations.
