Bethany Barton is an award-winning author and illustrator of children’s books. Her hilarious and fact-filled I’m Trying To Love Spiders won the 2016 Children’s Choice Award 3rd/4th Grade Book of The Year, kicking off her hit series of STEM picture books. Give Bees A Chance was a 2017 SCIBA Award finalist, and featured in the New York Times. I’m Trying to Love Math was named an Amazon Best Book of 2019, and I’m Trying To Love Rocks hit stores (and a pandemic!) with 2 starred reviews. The newest book in the series I’m Trying To Love Garbage teaches kids about everything from nature’s garbage collectors (like scavengers) to recycling and compost. Her books have been translated into 4 languages. When she’s not making books or visiting schools, Bethany works in the art departments for TV shows like Obi-Wan Kenobi, Black-ish, Westworld and The Muppets.
